The Super Bowl Weekend

This Sunday is the big game. Everyone is getting all excited and preparing for the big night. The Super Bowl is always a good time. Whether you are a football fan or not, everyone can make an event out of it. We gather with a few family friends at one of our homes to celebrate. This year, my husband and I will be hosting the party in our home! Many of us aren’t the greatest football fans but, it is just another time to catch up in the New Year. The last time I saw any of these friends was during the Christmas break.

I, myself, am not the biggest football fan however, I love the super bowl! Not because I’m rooting for any team, but it is the night to view the infamous Super Bowl commercials. It take some big bucks to advertise during the halftime show. But when a company does advertise, the commercials are amazing. The funniest commercials I have ever seen was during the Super Bowl! Now days, there are so many websites just dedicated to showing the commercials that were aired. I actually heard that some sites are already previewing the upcoming super bowl ads. But what is the fun in that?? Nothing beats watching it during the Super Bowl while, you’re gathered with some amazing people. But, these commercials are definitely ones to watch more than once! All the football fans in the house are so anxious while the commercials are running! It is hilarious! But, everyone always gets a good laugh!

This year, there is a special performance from Katy Perry! And rumor has it that Missy Elliot will be joining her performance. I am excited for that! We will just have to wait and see till Sunday!

With every event, especially the Super Bowl, we stir up the best and not so healthy foods. We bring out some chip bags, chocolate, cookies, candy, chicken poppers, French fries, chicken wings, Jalapeno poppers, mini burgers, and the list goes on. Each family brings a little dessert pie or cake for the desert round of things! And without a questions, the drink refreshments is BEER! And of course, there is some pop for the kids, non-alcoholic drinkers and the designated drivers!
